Track Name: Angry Eyes
Angry Eyes

By the way that you’re talking
I know you want me to stay
But that’s precisely the reason
That’s driving me away

I’ve got nothing to feel sorry for
No unwritten rules did I break
Why would I try to destroy something
That I have helped to make

I don’t believe you when
You look through your angry eyes
You look so ugly when
I look through my angry eyes

Judas betrayed Jesus
With a single kiss
By the way that you talking
It’s like I used my fist

Stabbed you in the front in broad daylight
Piled your bodies tall
Used you all as steps in my ladder
To climb over the wall

I don’t believe you when
You look through your angry eyes
You look so ugly when
I look through my angry eyes
Track Name: Anyone
Anyone

As far as love is concerned,
blood will always win
over petty pleasures of the flesh,
and a devil’s lust for skin.

Words are footprints on the moon;
written in our bones,
but fast flowing rivers leave no
sharp-edged stones.

I’d like to call you up,
but I know you’re very busy.
And I’d like to see you more,
but I don’t want to drag you with me.

Isabella, sleep with Angelo,
and spare me from my grave.
I’ve still got some of that fire left:
there’s still enough left to save.
Track Name: Famous Green Dress
Famous green dress

We're both getting into her car,
she said she couldn't let me walk that far.
And she's wearing that Famous Green Dress,
I wouldn't have expected anything less;
we get in and she puts on Marvin Gaye,
lights on and we're away.

There was broken oyster shell,
rolling around in the passenger foot well.
And a copy of the Scarlet Letter,
which made me feel a whole lot better;
we drove at a million miles an hour,
through a most glorious April shower.

It's these moments you know you're alive,
when we pulled up into my drive.
A calmness flowed over me,
my objective here was plain to see;
Yes all was quiet and serene,
As rain poured over the windscreen.

But as I leant in to appreciate her,
my left hand hit the indicator.
Before I could ask her to come up for tea,
she had turned the ignition key-
how cruel to allow only one chance
For a clumsy advance.

I was still reeling from that touch,
as she dipped the clutch.
She made me a slave to an unquenchable thirst,
when she slipped it into first:
you can't play with the feelings of a boy,
then discard them like an old toy.

Even now I still feel ashamed,
at how I fell for her beautiful game.
Yet I'm not the first to be impressed,
when they catch her in that Famous Green Dress.
Yes I tried- what more can I say?
Next time I will run away.
